Dome cameras look less intrusive compare to standard box cameras and used in places such as shopping mall, store, hotel lobby, church etc. Dome cameras come with many different features such as night vision, vandal-proof housing, vari-focal etc... All dome cameras, unless indicated as PTZ, are fixed.

PTZ Camera movement can be controlled via a DVR software, Stand alone DVR, or PTZ joystick. These types of cameras are typically used in commercial locations. Besides the video and power line, you will need to connect a pair of twisted pair wire for RS-485 communication to control the PTZ function. Most of the models comes with built-in heater & blower to resist any kind of weather conditions, variable speed for precise movement and endless loop mechanism for panning. Power supplies included.
